I want to feel like I am in control of what I do and achieve 🎯 I don’t want to feel like I am on a rollercoaster driven by the external environment, sentiment or challenges 🎢 I want to feel like I can take a break, pause, reflect. Think about what has gone well, where I am going and what might have gone wrong 😮💨 I have to acknowledge the impact of COVID on how I feel and interact 🦠 I agree that my mindset might need to adjust. I need to be more agile and flexible 🧠 I might need to surround myself with energy angels and moments that inspire me to keep going 😇 I might need to rely on those around me and it might feel scary. 😱 I know that things are tough for many #financeleaders #financebusinesspartner(s) and executives (#cfos) I am coaching & mentoring four senior executives who are all reporting greater workload, more challenges, less time to work and to some extent overwhelm. My thoughts are with all of you! 💓 Find time to take a break, find time to breathe deeply, take care of yourself and spend time doing things that charge and refuel your battery We can’t run on empty and sometimes we just need to take a break for a minute and reframe things around us. I realised from working with thousands of leaders for some big brands; Investec, KPMG and BMW, that greater impact can be found through a focus on people and leadership dynamics. I am an experienced C-Suite executive, non-executive director, entrepreneur, author and international speaker with more than 22 years of corporate experience. As the former CFO and CHRO of BMW UK Ltd. and BMW Financial Services Ltd., I understand the financial language of business, strategy, and risk and the pressures facing finance professionals. My vision is to help organisations and leaders to engage their people effectively. I have led and implemented award-winning cultural transformation programmes in multiple industries. I published my first book, “The Authenticity Dilemma Resolved®” in November 2016; which captures my experiences of working with thousands of leaders to increase their confidence and help them bring more of their real selves to all interactions to become inspiring, transformational leaders.
